Tenny Whitfield, born on Cape Breton Island and now a long time resident in Alberta, has for four decades been creating photographs. Also, he is a writer and a pen & ink artist whose work has appeared in magazines, books and newspapers.

Tenny is obsessed with the natural beauty Alberta has to offer. As if magical, he has to be in the mix - responding, watching and photographing as Alberta uses its own paintbrush to reveal its diverse landscapes, prairie, history and people.

And people, yes, people are his strongest suit. He relishes photographing all comers, the old, the young and the unusual.
